Democrat Margaret Angela Franklin Announces Two New Local Endorsements

WOODBRIDGE, VA – Today, Supervisor Margaret Angela Franklin announced two new local endorsements for her campaign for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District: Stafford County Supervisor Tinesha Allen and Dumfries Town Council Member Shaun Peet

“I am honored to be endorsed by Tinesha and Shaun, who have been tremendous public servants in Stafford County and Dumfries,” said Supervisor Franklin. “This represents the growing strength and momentum of our campaign in the district.”

Statement from Supervisor Allen:

“From leading the effort to expand affordable housing to creating a Child Advocacy Center to help victims of child abuse, Margaret has been incredibly effective as a county supervisor. I’m endorsing Margaret because I know she will fight to put our community first.”

Statement from Council Member Peet:

“I’m proud to endorse Margaret because she has been a tireless advocate for working families both as a staffer on Capitol Hill and a county supervisor. She knows how to get things done and will represent us well in Congress.”

Supervisor Allen and Council Member Peet join Congresswoman Alma Adams, former Congressman Al Lawson, and fellow Prince William County Supervisor Victor Angry, who have all endorsed Supervisor Franklin. 

About Margaret:

Margaret is an experienced public servant who is one of the first African American women to serve on the Prince William Board of Supervisors and has served as a senior staffer on Capitol Hill. Since taking office, she created a Child Advocacy Center to service victims of child abuse and led the charge to create more affordable housing.
